Mr. Daniel Wong, President of the CCA, inaugurated the conference and delivered a keynote address which was "Working together is a success". With diverse topics speakers drawn from the entire spectrum of the freight forwarding industry, the conference sought to stimulate close cooperation among the group members, while providing an excellent opportunity for engaging with other professionals in the field and further strengthening the friendship and business relationship in the three days' one-to-one-meeting program.

Mr. Daniel Wong, President of the CCA One-to-One Meetings

Mr. Eddie Byrne of Byrne Air Freight from Ireland made the first speech with the topic " Opportunities & Challenges the recession presents to us in freight forwarding", in which he clearly pointed out that in the coming days, the competition in the freight industry will be extremely keen and critical as the multinational forwarders will lower their rates and provide better services to grip whatever business they can obtain. The only solution to compete with and beat the multinational forwarders is the independent CCA members work closely together with the flexibility that they have and with the in-depth knowledge that each have of their countries, markets and customs, to provide a fully comprehensive and traceable service to their customers.

Mr. Byrne also described that China, being a country has huge trade surpluses with every country in the world, will become a major products importer in the world in the next 3 to 5 years. This gives the CCA Chinese members huge potential to develop import business with their experienced international CCA partners. And it can be best achieved with the close cooperation of the CCA Chinese and International members.

Together we can create a place to warm everyone during the cold winter of economic change and link each of us more tightly for when future crisis comes"

And the third speaker Ms. Belinda Chueng of Cargocare China Ltd. showed "The Road to China" and shared her experience in doing business in China which are "being confident, trust worthy, sincere, be different..." She also emphasized that "Being supportive is very important in building up a good base connection and relationship. To support the CCA members is also the spirit of the CCA group. "
